Senior Account Manager

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for project managing cross channel clients and corresponding teams in addition supporting the Director of Client Services to meet client and business objectives.
You would be expected to build strong relationships and to foster good team spirit with clients and members of the agency team. The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in the development of marketing campaigns. They are judged primarily on the ability to understand key consumer insights and drive the most appropriate marketing solutions for our clients.

What does the role involve?

  • Work hand in hand with Senior Account Director and assume a principal role in the development of account/campaign strategies to ensure Client KPIs are met to enable future growth of the account.
  • Maintain a strategic overview of account, and proactively advise client on new issues and opportunities.
  • Ensuring close and well-coordinated communication with the key stakeholders internally and externally under the guidance of Account Director.
  • Oversee a team of paid media managers to ensure appropriate activity is developed and implemented according to SYZYGY quality standards.
  • Oversee project management of Paid Media activity and coordinate tasks between team members to deliver projects on time and to required standard via tools such as Kanban and Clickup.
  • Proactively innovate and drive new channels and initiatives to encourage profitable growth.
  • Be the primary point of contact for the Client and coordinate all client communications: meetings, calls, workshops etc.
  • Assume responsibility for development of team Account Managers & Account Executives.
  • Keep Account Director abreast of all client activity, communication and developments.
  • Adhere to deadlines given by client/Account Director.
  • Effectively manage any external/internal queries/issues on Account.
  • Take responsibility for the strategy and team allocation required to achieve client KPI targets.
  • Ensuring we have strong working relationships throughout our existing clients’ organisations.
  • Approve budget reconciliations and bookings for your accounts.
  • Ensuring integration between client, data, planning and strategy teams to provide clients with sound digital marketing proposals to deliver business results and drive innovation.
  • Increasing revenue by identifying new opportunities within our clients to grow existing business.
  • Ensuring commercial targets are achieved by projecting revenue, profitability management and resource planning across the teams.



  • Establish and develop Client relations at a senior level.
  • Organise & attend client meetings, chairing discussions and providing informative account insight to grow the account and gain competitive advantage.
  • Coordinate all presentation materials for Client meetings and conference calls.
  • Reply to all Client correspondence as priority or delegating this to others in the team as necessary.

What are we looking for?

  • University Degree (or international equivalent).
  • Three years’ online experience minimum within Paid media role.
  • A good working knowledge of different capabilities and what they offer the client and customer, including; Search Marketing, Programmatic Display, Social, Analytics, SEO, etc.
  • Extensive experience of developing and executing online marketing campaigns, both acquisition and retention.
  • Strategic ability and understanding of insights/Data (also at European level).
  • Exemplary client service skills, with the ability to maintain and extend client relationships.
  • Proven record of managing accounts with multiple stakeholders.
  • Development and execution of digital marketing communication plans.
  • Able to demonstrate strong Project management skills.
  • Astounding written, oral and presentation skill and competent in using Microsoft suite especially Excel.
  • Persuasive negotiation skills with an ability to cross and up-sell.
  • Excellent time management, numeracy skills and attention to detail.
